As an Engagement Manager you will report to the Director of Engagement Management. You will serve as the primary point of contact for clients, overseeing project delivery from planning through execution while ensuring alignment with business objectives and the Statement of Work (SOW). You will coordinate cross-functional teams, manage risks and budgets, and build strong client relationships to drive project success and identify growth opportunities.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain project templates, plans, and timelines.
- Align project goals with the Statement of Work (SOW) and address scope creep proactively.
- Lead client calls to gather requirements, oversee deployments, and manage user acceptance testing.
- Provide detailed notes, action items, and deliverables to clients.
- Serve as the escalation point for project issues, ensuring transparency and resolution.
- Coordinate internal teams for configuration, testing, and deployment.
- Clear blockers to maintain progress and accountability toward KPIs and CSFs.
- Oversee deployments to staging and production environments.
- Liaise across departments to recommend solutions and ensure proper roles are fulfilled.
- Measure and report on milestones, deliverables, and success factors.
- Manage reporting tools to ensure accurate tracking and visibility.
- Manage change orders and updates to SOWs with account managers.
- Identify and pursue opportunities to grow client relationships and expand business value.
- Maintain project timelines and budgets while communicating risks and mitigation strategies.
- Ensure mutual benefit and adherence to the SOW for all stakeholders.
- Set clear expectations and maintain open communication with clients and teams.
- Deliver exceptional results to foster trust and long-term opportunities.
Requirements
Requirements for Success
Technical Proficiency
- Proficient in Agile Development Principles and methodologies.
- Knowledge of ITSM/ESM frameworks and best practices, including ITIL for service activities such as release management and testing (preferred).
- Expertise in Jira and Confluence for project and team collaboration.
- Familiarity with NetSuite for business operations and financial management.
- Advanced proficiency in Google Workspace (GSuite) tools for communication and documentation.
Consulting, Problem Solving and Critical Thinking
- Skilled in building and maintaining strong client relationships to ensure alignment with business objectives and project goals.
- Proven ability to manage client expectations, drive strategic discussions, and address scope changes effectively.
- Experience delivering tailored solutions that meet client needs while identifying opportunities to expand service offerings.
- Proven ability to analyze complex client challenges and develop tailored, strategic solutions.
- Skilled in identifying potential risks and creating proactive mitigation plans to ensure project success.
- Expertise in navigating scope changes and resolving conflicts while maintaining alignment with business goals.
Preferred Qualifications
- PMP or equivalent project management certification is preferred.
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Management Information Systems, or a related field.
Basic Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years leading cross-functional teams to deliver projects on time and within budget.
- Minimum of 3 years of project management experience in software development, technology/infrastructure management, delivery, and/or IT operations, with Atlassian expertise preferred.
- At least 1 year of experience using Jira and Confluence for project management.

Salary
$100,000 - $110,000 CAD base salary depending on location and experience
