Multi-million $ Project Management with Leading North American OEMs Manufacturing Project Manager Since 1982, Standard Manufacturers has been serving leading North American manufacturers in the agriculture, rail, transportation, and industrial sectors, consistently ranking as a Top Tier Supplier. We have recently added new, major North American OEMs in the transportation, marine, industrial, and drivetrain sectors to our customer base and are embarking on our next level of growth. In the past 24 months, we have completed our second expansion and continued to increase our investment in robotics, CNC, and foundry equipment. Our 100,000 sq. ft. facility currently houses 9 pouring lines, 2 heat treating lines, and 22 machining centers. To support this growth, we have an immediate need for a team member to join our company as a Manufacturing Project Manager. - Strong experience in Project Management Office (PMO) processes
- Strong communication skills written and verbal including oral presentation skills
- Familiarity with standard PM tools and templates is required
- Minimum 5 years of project management experience in a manufacturing environment is required
- PMP licensing
- Leading a team in a manufacturing/engineering environment
- Experience with Lean and 5S
- Proficiency in using computer software such as Microsoft Office and MRP/ERP systems
- A passion for getting things done and contributing to all external and internal projects
- A desire to learn, develop, and actively participate in our Employee Training Program
- Proficiency with SolidWorks CAD software is considered an asset.
Responsibilities of the role:Project management of multiple, high profile, customer projects and internal projects
- Develop, manage, and maintain up-to-date MS Project Timelines inclusive of all critical milestones, key interdependencies, and resource constraints, applying appropriate project scheduling techniques
- Lead cross-functional projects with internal and external functions
- Monitors project execution and adjusts plans
- Prepare project plans/schedules, reports, and budgets
- Creates and executes project work plans (Work Breakdown Structure) and revises as appropriate
- Identifies resources needed and tasks team members with project tasks
